I hate my OCD and want to get rid of it but part of me also likes the rush I get when something scares the s**t out of me and I have to get reassurance from the Internet. Am I the only one that gets a sick pleasure from this?

Does the method still work if you’re on an SSRI? I’m on 20mg Prozac and days are between 0-2 level of anxiety but I’m scared of a relapse. Thanks!
Yes. I’m on meds too. Just keep ignoring thoughts and tracking everything and it will reduce. You can do it!!

I found a problem in the tracking system. If I wake up after 9am or go to sleep before 9pm, I have 0 in my trackings for that period. But that 0 doesn’t come from not doing compulsion, it comes from sleeping. But it impacts the statistic in the “my year” sheet and it looks like I had a day with low ocd response. The app should differentiate between actually typing “0” and “not typing a

Tips: Download NOCD, watch OCD and Anxiety YouTube channel, look up articles, email a therapist, follow advice. Seriously. And, ik this sounds stupid, but just ignore the thoughts. Thoughts are not actions. They don't say anything about you as a person. Move on w/ your life and live your life.
I beg to differ on tge part that we need to ignore our thoughts i think what we should do is try to purposely think those thoughts which gives us anxiety and label them as ocd thoughts eventually our brain will understand these thoughts are not inducing any anxiety thus they are not important

My theme is always the same. But it changes regarding the reasons the obsessive thought gives me. Of course it seems always so real. Does it happen to you too? Because everytime I get a new thought on the same theme, but it seems like it's always the true one? Does it make sense?

Does this method work with health anxiety too? It feels like OCD, but it feels very dangerous to not believe my thoughts because it feels like risking my health.

Hi, I am having one sticky thought these days. I went to my brother house and his friend said something jokingly which I felt a bit offending but it was not his intention. Now my mind is saying that he is should apologise however it will only break relations. But this thought is trying to stick into my mind.

Hi Guys, Recovery is different to recovered. I am recovering. I used to feel like I could do anything but obsess and analyse my thoughts. “WHY AM I THINKING THIS!” Or “WHY DID THIS POP UP?!” I used to these all day long. Now it’s a hand full a day. It gets easier. There’s hope

Hi Guys, since not a lot of people who are recovering are sharing their thoughts… I will. Yes it’s been very tough. No it’s not easy to do. You have to try and relax as much as you can. I am usually a person that hits things head on and take on the battle. This is a mental battle that can’t be won like that. Simply, ignoring wins. Easier said than done. It’s a bully and a trick. It will
thank you

Hello is someone here ?
Bruce777
Iam hoping is just anxiety, as I recently just quit Alcohol and Marijuana.
Bruce777
I went for a mental health evaluation about my intrusive thoughts and to see if I have ocd. The psychologist said it's to early to diagnose you with ocd but that intrusive thoughts are a component of ocd. He said we should treat this like I have ocd and do CBT for prevention.

My OCD is interfering with my thinking, I feel like I cant even read a book without OCD completely taking over. My mind feels like its playing OCD racketball, the only time I feel relief is when im playing sports or working out but thats it…..I feel stuck :/

I’ve never experienced such thought. But I am responding because I understand you with wanting to know if anyone has had that thought before. My obsession is believing that I might lose my memory from one second to the next. It triggers me more when I leave my house. Especially if I am with friends and family. It’s scary and I know it’s OCD but it’s still feels like a real fight. OCD sucks
So what, if you are the only person to exist? You’re not btw
