Should I go out for my OCD?

Quote

My parents love going out, and they constantly ask me if I want to come with them. Most of the time I refuse because I like to spend my time home, but my religious ocd gets worse when I’m alone I believe. Being in the presence of my parents makes me feel safe and forget about my ocd. Or at least calm it down. Should I start going out with them when I have the chance?

I think you should do what you would normally do. If you like to stay home then stay home. Let it be a ERP session. What types of thoughts are you getting?

I’m getting thoughts of insulting Jesus from acting normal, eating, drawing, moving my fingers etc

I think You should be going with Your parents. The most important thing is to tell them about OCD, about your thoughts.

You shouldnt just stay in your room and think about OCD. You should be active, even if you are tired. This will make thoughts go away

I have the same thoughts. Try to start to disregard them. God loves you. After reflecting on this type of ocd i think what God wants from us is to increase our trust in his mercy. Pray for the conversion of those that actually say these things to God. God bless.
