Knowing it’s all lies during recovery

Quote

During recovery, how and when do you get to the point that you know it’s all lies and bullshit? Or, do sometimes you never know it is but just keep plugging on and going forward, treating it as such? Or is there where uncertainty is supposed to come in and “knowing it’s all lies“ is not part of recovery??‍♀️

So I’ve relapsed after being “ocd free” for about 6 years. Prior to that I had severe ocd my whole life. When I got better over the past few years I was able to see the thoughts were total lies but it was a gradual process. Recovery can take months. But you start feeling better early in the process. It just takes awhile for that nagging feeling to fully vanish but it does eventually. Mine did and I could see it was all lies for several years. Unfortunately I relapsed after some stressful life events but I know I’ll recover again. And so will you. We just have to do the work!
