Hello, I haven't fully recovered yet but I have already realized that it is not me. Those thoughts are not yours, trust me. You have to assign the intrusive thoughts to their owner and their owner is always OCD. Not you. It is always OCD. You need to disregard them just as Ali says. I was in really bad condition however I decided to start my recovery. I didn't believe I can recover but I started to see a progress after 2 weeks only. And all I did was disregarding those thoughts. I always had to perform a physical compulsion but one day I just gave up. When the thought comes to your mind don't fight with it. You know it is not your thought, you know it is not you. So just don't fight with the thought and let it be there. Focus on what were you doing before the thought hit. Do not think about it, do not think about whether you are doing it correctly or not, do not check whether the thought is still there. It is gonna be really hard from the beginning but you have to resist the bad feeling and push through. You will see that those thoughts start to lose their power. Good luck.

Your thoughts was about harm someone in the past? The key is to understand who you are? That you couldn't never hurt someone in the past

I am not sure whether the note no.3 was meant to be an answer to note no.2 but if yes then my reply would be yes. I originaly didn't suffer from false memory OCD. This has been developed from harm OCD. Yes I had thoughts about harming people. And I know how it really hurts to have thoughts like these. The thing is I know that I wouldn't hurt or harm anyone. I love all those people. Simply I realized those cannot be my thoughts. You need to do the same. Ask yourself - would you be able to hurt someone? Would you be able to cause some harm to someone? I bet your answer is absolutely NO. This is OCD. This is what OCD does. It attacks what is most important to you to make you ruminate and perform compulsions. The only way out is to take the power over your mind back to you. You cannot allow OCD to upset you or make you to all those compulsions and rumination. The only way to free yourself from OCD is to learn to resist the compulsions. Once you become familiar with this you'll see that those thoughts start to fade.
