Hi, information in these podcasts has changed my life.
Thank you Ali, you helped me along with “4 steps” by J. Schwartz and some other articles regain my life.
You have presented really great techniques in these podcasts, especially about ‘fake it until you make it’ and not reassuring oneself.
I’m not completely over OCD but the improvement is sooo significant, i get small steps back (lapses) from time to time especially when I’m tired and don’t have energy to fight back.
But most of the time I’m really more agressive towards stupid senseless terorizing toughts.
I think the worst thing you can do is change your life so that you don’t get OCD and get worried about getting it. I.e. I stopped drinking coffee because of OCD what that did is drained me of any energy also the one to fight OCD. I would not recommend reducing 100% coffee if you like it because it causes more hurt than help (it causes anxiety itself).
Thanks a lot, I’m going out to live my life again!!
Cheers and kisses!!

Thank you so so much for your kind words. I’m glad you are feeling better. In OCD there are always setbacks, specially during busy or stressfull times when you may not have enough energy to fight back. Just remember that no matter how bad an obsession is, it will pass just like the rest of them. If you do not let OCD impact any aspect of your day then it really has no power over you, just live your life as if you don’t have it and it willl lose all of it’s power.
Stay strong, and keep me posted on your progress

Thank you very much Ali for posting this! I have had that kind of OCD thoughts for a long time. I think that your podcast is going to be helpful to me, especially when I will get off the antidepressants I’ve been taking.

Thank you for your kind words. I am glad that you are getting off antidepressants. They do more harm then good. In my opinion when it comes to OCD all the do is make you more subdued and do not actually take away the thoughts. If you have any questions about OCD just let me know.
